Meet Dr. Teresita Rodríguez Obaya
Behind NeuralCIM is the remarkable story of Dr. Teresita Rodríguez Obaya, a biotechnology scientist who founded Cuba's Centre of Molecular Immunology and dedicated her career to finding treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
Despite the challenges posed by the U.S. blockade—which has made it extraordinarily difficult to obtain research supplies and materials—Dr. Obaya and her team persevered. Her work has been documented in "Teresita's Dream: Cuba's Battle Against Alzheimer's."
Dr. Obaya originally developed NeuralCIM to treat Parkinson's disease, strokes, and ataxia. Her more recent research has demonstrated that NeuralCIM significantly delays, and sometimes halts, Alzheimer's disease progression.
